A look at fracking in South Africa

In November, Shell wished to discuss natural gas as a viable source of energy in South Africa. However, their means of acquiring natural gas supplies remains controversial.

Fracking, or hydraulic fracturing, has already been banned in several countries throughout the world because of the damage it does to the ecosystems in which it is based.

In this piece for Now!, I considered whether natural gas and fracking should really be considered when all negative aspects are looked at. It is unfortunately no longer available online.
